Purpose of Symposium
At this symposium you will join your colleagues from other international humanitarian assistance, disaster relief and human rights organizations to:
- Identify distance learning technologies relevant to your needs and audiences
- Discuss your unique distance learning challenges and solutions
- Consider key planning elements for establishing and managing an organization-wide distance learning program
- Explore the potential for and your interest in establishing an on-line distance learning network for international humanitarian organizations

Who Should Attend?
This symposium is exclusively for individuals who will also attend the Conference on Distance Teaching and Learning who work for United Nations agencies, NGOs, government organizations and donors involved in international humanitarian assistance, disaster relief and human rights concerns. Trainers, training coordinators, staff development directors, and distance learning program managers with an interest in or responsibility for distance learning in international humanitarian organizations will benefit from this symposium.
